Choose the right BBQ rotisserie kit for your cooking style
1) Home backyard rotisserie cooking
If you cook mainly at home, a solid bbq rotisserie kit with a stable spit rod and a reliable motor is the simple path to consistent results. Look for a setup that suits your existing BBQ body or charcoal grill, and consider a 240V motor for long cooks and steady turning.
2) Camping and travel
For camping, portability becomes the priority. A dedicated camping rotisserie setup gives you a practical footprint, faster pack-down, and easy transport. Pair it with the right rotisserie poles and accessories so your cooksite setup stays stable on uneven ground.
3) DIY builders
DIY rotisserie kits are ideal if you already have a fire pit, charcoal grill, or custom frame. Start with the core spit kit, add the motor style that suits your environment, then build out with accessories as you refine your routine.
Why rotisserie cooking works so well
· Even cooking: Rotation exposes all sides to heat in a consistent cycle.
· Self-basting results: Natural juices move across the surface as the meat turns.
· Crisp, golden finish: Great for poultry skin, pork crackling style finishes, and caramelised edges.
· Crowd-friendly cooking: A single spit roast can feed a table with minimal fuss.
Popular ways to use this range
· Charcoal spit roasts for chicken, lamb, and pork
· Shish kebabs, kofta, and skewers for fast outdoor meals
· Fire pit rotisserie style cooks for camping weekends
· Motor upgrades and replacements to refresh an older rotisserie setup
FAQs
1) What is included in a BBQ rotisserie kit?
Most kits include the spit rod and mounting components, with some bundles including prongs or skewer attachments. Many cooks also add a motor, extra skewers, or accessories depending on what they plan to roast.
2) Which motor should I choose: AC/DC or 240V?
A 240V motor suits home use with mains power. An AC/DC spit motor supports more flexibility across different power situations, which can be handy for travel or mixed setups.
3) Can I use a BBQ rotisserie kit on a charcoal BBQ?
Yes. Charcoal rotisserie cooking is a classic match for spit roasting. The key is stable mounting, safe clearance from direct coals, and controlled heat so the outside browns at the right pace.
4) Is a camping rotisserie hard to set up?
Camping rotisserie systems are designed for quick assembly and pack-down. A flat, stable surface and a safe fire zone make setup easier and help keep your spit turning smoothly.
5) What can I cook on a rotisserie besides whole chickens?
Rotisserie cooking works for lamb legs, pork roasts, beef roasts, rolled roasts, kebabs, skewers, and seafood in the right baskets or skewer setups. Many people use it for gyros-style stacks and skewer cooking for parties.
6) How do I know if the motor can handle the weight of my roast?
Check the motor’s load rating and match it to your typical cook. Heavier roasts benefit from a stronger motor and a well-balanced load on the spit rod for smoother rotation.
7) Do I need extra accessories to get started?
A basic BBQ rotisserie kit covers the essentials. Many cooks add accessories over time such as extra prongs, replacement rods, skewers, or rotisserie poles for camping to suit different recipes and locations.
8) Are replacement parts available if I already own a rotisserie?
Yes. Replacement spit rods, motors, and rotisserie accessories are a practical way to refresh an existing setup and keep your gear ready for weekend cooks.

Taste great and super fast delivery
Perfectly fit as order, received in time as per schedule. Very happy with cover and service. Thanks
Really impressed with the quality of these skewers. The 20mm wide flat profile makes moulding ground meat super easy, and they cook evenly over open flames. The wooden handles feel great in hand and protect against heat. Definitely worth it!
I bought this for my bunnings jumbuck spit roast and fit perfectly, easy to install and easy to clean, so far I've cooked lamb shoulder, whole chicken and vegges on it and has cooked thoroughly cant complain!

I was looking to get either a parrilla grill or a charcoal grill and ended up with the best of both worlds. Erik and Suzie were very helpful, patient and great with excellent advice and we ended up getting an Entertainers charcoal grill with a parrilla attachment and love it. It is now my go to grill every weekend.
Super happy with this hardwood, it is a step up compared to Pro Smoke premium. Having good results with the low and slow cooks, it also maintains a consistent heat.
It’s the absolute best and I have it every day, it’s absolutely amazing on veggies and mashed potato, even better on sweet potato. I just sprinkle it over the sweet potato and add a little olive oil and bake it in the oven. Yummo
Susie was amazing and called me right away to let me know about the colours of the items being assorted! Appreciated the up front call, as many shops just send any colour without consulting the customer.
